Should we see more cards given to players at the younger ages? (u11 +)
I am starting to think ref's should give more cards at some of these games. Too many times a player does a nasty foul and just gets a talking too. What do you think?
I think we should see more cards given at that age level because it is pretty much the end of the transition time into the real game. Of course not in the younger age groups because at that time it is usually to get the kids to check it out, try out some sports and see what they like, but at this age level, along with the skills being learned, the rules of the game and good fundamentals of play are starting to be developed, like anything else I think that structure and consistency at the beginning will set a good foundation to build on as they progress.
